YCH & Mary Kay In Cosmetic Tie Up

TODAYonline:

Supply chain management solutions firm YCH Group is venturing into China’s cosmetic industry through a partnership with cosmetic brand Mary Kay China.

YCH Group said it started providing logistics services for Mary Kay China on January 18 and has spent the past few months doing trial runs to perfect its system prior to yesterday’s announcement. The contract is worth $5 million and YCH has invested $3 million so far to kickstart the operations.

The Singapore-based company said it will help in distributing Mary Kay China products throughout northern China. Beijing will serve as its regional distribution centre, where it has a temperature-controlled facility.

“With our network and experience in consumer fulfilment throughout Asia and China, YCH is confident that this will be a win-win partnership for YCH and Mary Kay China, as both companies continue to expand in China and the region,” said YCH chairman and chief executive officer Robert Yap.
