General Mills Seeks Innovative Packaging Solutions

Whoohoo! A familiar sound to most, it’s the Pillsbury dough boy’s iconic battle cry that can make your mouth water for the brand’s flaky, buttery, oh-so-delicious crust that’s American as pie itself.

General Mills is the $15 billion+ food company behind Pillsbury’s famous pie crust and responsible for more than 100 other leading U.S. brands and other category leaders around the world.

According to Edison Nation, Pillsbury’s team is investigating lower cost packaging solutions for its popular pie crust and would like to see your novel alternatives for its current paperboard carton — that is, without sacrificing product functionality or consumer satisfaction.
