Coffee Franchise Xpresso Delight Partners With Mission Australia

Business-to-business coffee franchise Xpresso Delight has partnered with one of the country’s leading providers of homeless services – Mission Australia – to help raise $10,000 for the charity’s annual winter appeal.

The franchise, which has coffee machines in over 1500 workplaces around Australia, is encouraging its clients to donate money to the appeal and has promised to match these donations dollar-for-dollar with a target of $10,000 nationally by August 31.

Xpresso Delight was founded in 2003 by Stephen Spitz and Paul Crabtree and Mr Spitz said he was proud to support the charity.

“The work of Mission Australia is vital for helping some of our most vulnerable Aussies get back on their feet, so we’re absolutely wrapped to announce this initiative,” he said.

“We’re encouraging our clients to think about people less fortunate when they sit down to an Xpresso Delight latte at work and to donate to the appeal online.”

A dedicated Xpresso Delight donation website everydayhero.com.au/xpressodelight allows clients, franchisees, family and friends to donate easily and tracks all donations made. The Xpresso Delight client which makes the most donations nationally will be recognised as a ‘Mission Australia Hero’ in their local community.

“We’re hoping all of our clients jump onto the website and make a donation this winter. It only takes a little support from everyone to make a massive positive impact on the lives of people living rough in our communities.”

Lynelle Hopkins, Mission Australia National Manager Corporate Partnerships said teaming up with Xpresso Delight would help the charity to reach out to businesses around the country and raise much needed funds to transform the lives of homeless Australians.

“This promotion allows us to get our message out to thousands of people in their workplaces and gives those people an opportunity to contribute directly to our appeal,” she said.

Ms Hopkins said the situation for many homeless people in Australia was dire.

“On an average night in Australia more than half of all people requiring temporary shelter will be turned away because of the massive shortfall in emergency accommodation nationally.”

“In addition, the number of people sleeping rough is on the rise. The rate of people sleeping on the streets in some areas has risen by almost 13 percent between 2008 and 2009.

“We’re extremely grateful to Xpresso Delight for joining with us to support the winter appeal and we hope Xpresso Delight clients can dig deep to ensure we reach a great donation total.”

Xpresso Delight works by franchisees installing Swiss made gourmet espresso coffee machines into businesses free of charge, with clients simply charged a low rate per cup. The machines only require a weekly service and re-stock meaning franchisees can enjoy the benefits of a genuinely passive income.
