I recently came across an article locate on USA Today Â that talked about the Golden Rule, the one that says ” treat others as you would want to be treated”. While this is a great philosophy to have in life and business, we have to remember that it doesn’t always work out as planned.
For this Golden Rule to work both your staff as well as your clients need to be on the same page, have the same thoughts on how things should work. If your clients and staff have totally different views on business then this rule is not going to work well for your company.
In order for you to make this rule work for you and everybody else, make sure that you train your entire staff well. Train them to think the way you would want them to and to perform the way you expect them to. They don’t necessarily have to agree with everything 100% but they should perform in the manner you expect them to and treat your clients in the manner you expect them to.
