Zarraffa’s Coffee Warns Franchisees They’ll Need To Work Harder

Franchising.net.au:

Food franchisees face a choice between giving up some of the money in their pockets or losing family time at the weekends, warns the founder of the Zarraffa’s Coffee franchise chain.

Kenton Campbell believes franchisees will need to take on weekend work or hike their prices as a result of the new Fair Work regulations which come into effect today and which will see minimum wage increases over a five year period.

For Zarraffa’s Coffee to maintain these wage increases, Campbell predicts a price increase to beverages, taking the $3.35 drink to a $3.65 price this year. “It’s hard to make the decision but we will know by 15 July,” he told Franchising.
