What inspired it?
This baby boutique was inspired by the babies and mothers surrounding us and a desire to help stay at home moms, also known as SAHMS.
How many products do you offer in your store?
We offer approximately 200 products and growing. Consisting of over 50 gift baskets, nursery wall art, baby slings, baby thigh highs, Baby Bunch bouquets, kids rocking chairs and stools, personalized clothing/blankets, baby jewelry, swaddling blankets, baby journal and belly art. We are continuously searching for new mom-invented product offerings.
What are some of your top sellers?
Currently one of our top sellers is our unique nursery wall art, baby slings and gift sets. We expect our newest products of Pork Chop Kids Baby Thigh Highs and Two Giggles Baby Journal to become a top seller soon.

Do you have any goals that you hope to accomplish over the next year or so?
Our goals over the next year are to grow our business and product offerings.
Have you always been entrepreneurial? What lead you to where you are now?
During the economic downturn, I found myself without a job after 25 years with my employer. Two family members, after attending an ecommerce opportunity show, were planning on launching an internet retail business. I joined them to discuss future business opportunities and thus our business planning began and BabyGiftRoom.com was born.
What are some lessons that your business has taught you?
The internet is a constant changing marketplace. SEO and social media are two important aspects of internet marketing today. There are many free SEO tools and information sites on the web to help.
Do you have any advice you’d like to offer fellow entrepreneurs that are just getting started?
Believe in your product and your potential success. Know that success takes hard work and good marketing.
