Daily Mirror:
One of the world’s fastest growing direct selling beauty companies, Oriflame is currently operating in 60 countries, with over 2.5 million consultants or ‘members’.
The company’s local subsidiary, Oriflame Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. is a BOI approved company since its incorporation in 1997.
A member of the World Direct Selling Association, the corporation prides itself on its ‘multi-level’ marketing technique – a system which enables individuals to be a part of a globally recognised organisation and earn a commission-based income from home.
The company owns offices around the island, in Kandy, Galle, Batticaloa, and Trincomalee, and opened their newest branch in Jaffna last month. Due to the end of the civil strife, a quarter of the country previously inaccessible to corporate bodies was recently opened.
Oriflame speedily made its move to capture this untapped market, as it was a “fantastic opportunity to widen penetration,” according to Widell. Although still very new territory, he stressed that it would be a worthwhile long-term investment, as they were already receiving very positive feedback from locals.
