Herbalife Names New Managing Director for North America Region

-Herbalife Ltd., the global nutrition and direct-selling company, named Ibi Fleming as senior vice president and managing director of its North America region. Fleming, a 13-year Herbalife veteran, is responsible for all business, strategic, sales and marketing functions across the region, which includes the U.S., Canada, Jamaica, and the Caribbean.

Fleming, who joined Herbalife in 1998, most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for the U.S. Latin market, which represents approximately 65 percent of North American sales and has been one of the company’s fastest growing markets under her leadership. She reports to Herbalife President Des Walsh.

Fleming replaces Senior Vice President and Managing Director Tom Zimmer who is retiring from the company. He will assist with the transition to Fleming until his effective retirement date of March 1, 2011. Zimmer joined Herbalife in January 2004 as vice president of marketing. He assumed leadership of the North America region in July 2005, which nearly doubled in sales during his tenure.
