Skateboard Biz Promotes Skating, Good Behavior

Skateboarding can be considered a lifestyle for some. Scott Magee, the owner of ADM Skateboards, hopes his business will help promote that lifestyle and positive behavior.

With any luck, Scott would like to see his skateboard business lead to a neighborhood skate park, after school programs, and possibly a skate camp, states Delmarva Media Group.

Being a skater most of his life, he wanted to put a positive spin on the sport while also giving back to his hometown. With an eye for design, Magee designed four skateboard decks that are available for purchase on his website and at K-Coast Surf Shop in Ocean City.

“There’s such a wide group of kids that love skating, it’s just a matter of finding something that will target everybody,” he said. “Requiem is so far my favorite.”

Currently for sale is the W2W board that features a photograph taken by Magee; B-town, a tribute board featuring a green and gold design of the state of Delaware; and the new release, Requiem, featuring an abstract graphic designed by Magee.

“There’s such a wide group of kids that love skating, it’s just a matter of finding something that will target everybody,” he said. “Requiem is so far my favorite.”

As a father to a 3-year-old — who the company is named after– Magee wants to encourage parents to get their children involved in skating.

“As a parent I think, ‘Would I want my kid involved in skating?'” he said. “Some parents will say no because with all sports there’s good and bad kids. I’m trying to show parents that there are good, positive things coming out of skating.”
