AmRest To Become Largest KFC Franchisee In Spain

Polish restaurant operator AmRest Holding has signed an agreement to acquire a 76.3 percent stake in Restauravia Grupo Empresarial, a Spanish restaurant business controlled by equity firm Corpfin Capital.

According to a statement on AmRest’s website, the transaction is scheduled to be concluded by April 29.
After the finalization of the sale, AmRest will take over the mantle of being the biggest KFC franchisee in Spain.

The transaction price has not been disclosed, but AmRest wrote that it expects to finance the transaction using “equity investment of approx. €90 million, €28 million of equity rolled over by Management and external bank debt.”
