Bamboo Shack Eyes US Franchise Growth

Bahamas Tribune:

Bahamian restaurant chain, Bamboo Shack , aims to begin franchising the business in the United States “within about another year and a half”, its owner said yesterday, revealing that it is bucking trends with steadily increasing growth.

Elaine Pinder, Bamboo Shack’s proprietor, spoke with Tribune Business yesterday, just over a week after the popular food vendor opened its sixth New Providence location on Prince Charles Drive. Twenty employees were taken on to man that site.

She said the company continues to look for appropriately positioned real estate on which it could build additional locations, with southern New Providence viewed as the next most attractive area for expansion.

“We are doing quite well. Our service and the quality of food is excellent, and because of that the business is really increasing rather than slowing down. The accountant’s figures show that there is a steady increase just about every quarter. We’re seeking out opportunities for new locations wherever the land arises,” said Mrs Pinder.
