Baristas took possession of the location at 11:00 am on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011 and not only completed the initial cosmetic remodel but was open for business at 5:00am on Aug. 15, 2011. In the first week of operations the revenues have risen to a level sufficient to operate the location on a sustainable cash flow positive basis. In addition, it is expected that the total capital required to acquire and complete both the initial and final renovations will be returned to the company in full in approximately six months. The location which sits just eight feet from the sidewalk, is on a major thoroughfare for commuters to multiple industries and stadiums such as Boeing, Starbucks worldwide headquarters, Safeco field (home of the Mariners), Costco and CenturyLink Field (formerly Qwest Field and home of the Seahawks). According to DOT estimates, more than 55,000 cars drive though the intersection on a daily basis.
