Philippines Hosts Largest Gathering Of Global And Local Franchise Players

Manila Bulletin:

What does it mean when the country announces that the world’s biggest gathering of franchise players will happen in the Philippines? “In the simplest terms, it means we raise the country’s profile as one of Asia’s most important investment destinations,” explains Robert Trota, chairman of the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA).

“It puts the Philippines in the global spotlight as a leading trade and tourism destination, where the biggest and most successful food, retail and service franchise concepts thrive.”

With the Philippines, through PFA, being given the honor to host the World Franchise Council (WFC) and the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC) meetings, the arrival of global franchise leaders from 43 member-countries for Franchise Asia 2011 marks the beginning of a prestigious event that will allow Filipino and Asian franchise concepts to be introduced on a global platform, as well as for international companies to showcase their brands to the 650 million ASEAN market through the Philippines.
