Filipino franchisors are setting their sights beyond Philippine shores.
Elizabeth Pardo-Orbeta, president of the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA), said franchising can be a top dollar-earner much like exporting products.
The group continues to promote international expansion among Philippine franchises even as more than 20 local franchises now have overseas operations.
Orbeta, chairman of Wendy’s Philippines, said export of top Philippine franchisors is one of the goals of the PFA.
“Franchising is acknowledged to be an effective strategy for Philippine brands to expand overseas. Given the support, franchise brands can become flagships of the export of Philippine brands, products and services,” Orbeta said.
