A Wendy’s Co. executive is returning to his roots.
The Dublin-based fast food chain announced Tuesday that David Karam, Wendy’s North America president, will leave the company at the end of the year. He won’t be moving far though – Karam is returning to Columbus-based Cedar Enterprises Inc., a Wendy’s franchisee with 151 restaurants in six states.
Neither Karam or CEO Emil Brolick were available for comment. Spokesman Bob Bertini said Karam’s duties will be absorbed by Brolick and others and that the parting was a mutual decision.
