Women Take Up Pre-Schools, Have 80% Share In Gujarat Market

The inborn ability to nurture children is driving women in the region to the business of grooming toddlers. Close to 80% of the pre-school franchisees in the state are run by women entrepreneurs. Investing anything between Rs 3 lakh and 8 lakh, the businesswomen are comfortably taking home Rs 50,000 per month.

“It was not money that motivated me to this business. Instead, the thought that I could provide a firm plank to children as they get their basic education, was more fulfilling and made me what I am – an educator,” says Hetal Shah (35 years), franchisee owner of Kidzee. She takes care of more than 200 toddlers and takes home Rs 10 lakh per annum. Read full story.
