Doughnuts At The Superbowl

Debbie Pifer never imagined her doughnuts would go to the Superbowl, but this year they were delivered to the NY Giants. The mother-in-law of Jim Cordle noticed her blueberry doughnuts and ordered dozens for the team.

“We were just a little excited,” said Debbie Pifer, owner of White House Fruit Farm. “Here we are in Canfield, Ohio. We’re just a small farm market. And now all of a sudden, I think we’re going to root for the New York Giants.”

“So she called to tell me that she was going to be taking some of our blueberry doughnuts back to the New York Giants so they can enjoy them Super Bowl weekend,” said Pifer.

White House rarely ships the doughnuts since they do not contain any preservatives. However, that doesn’t stop them from traveling.

The owners said plenty of locals pick them up for out-of-town relatives and realize their doughnuts have made long distance trips before. But they hope to track this journey very closely, from the farm in Canfield all the way to Indianapolis.

“What we’re hoping for is that Jim and Eli and company can maybe get us a picture of the offensive line eating our doughnuts,” said Pifer. “Maybe we’ll get a signed doughnut box out of it.”
