The first sit-down restaurant with wait service in Clarksburg is expected to open in the next six months.
The opening of Bennigan’s in Clarksburg Crossing likely will lead to increased commerce and could spark revitalization of the town’s Historic District, neighboring business owners say. Business leaders in the community believe it will be Clarksburg’s fifth dining option, aside from carryout pizza, Chinese takeout and a Subway sandwich shop.
Retired doctor Joseph Buffington purchased the Bennigan’s franchise, and will open the 4,000-square-foot casual sit-down restaurant at the corner of Frederick and Stringtown roads. He and his wife, Bette, bought the one-acre parcel of land in 2006 where Clarksburg Crossing was built. Carry on reading.
