The newest market for Donatos Pizzeria LLC is the nation’s capital.
The Columbus-based pizza chain has entered the Washington D.C. market with a Vienna, Va. shop opened Tuesday by franchisee Slice of Life Enterprise LLC. That franchisee also has a Fairfax restaurant in development, representing the first two outlets in a 20-pizzeria deal for Northern Virginia.
Spokesman Tom Santor said a franchise deal also has been signed for the Norfolk and Virginia Beach region in the state and at least two restaurants are projected to open this year in that market.
