A company that owns three Dairy Queen restaurants in the Big Country has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, but employees at two of those Dairy Queens said the restaurants would remain open. An employee at the third eatery declined to comment.
Roundtable Corp. is an independently owned Dairy Queen franchisee. According to the company’s website, it owns Dairy Queens in Haskell, Merkel and Coleman, among more than 70 other Texas Dairy Queen restaurants outside the Big Country.
Employees at the Merkel and Coleman restaurants confirmed they would stay open Monday, while an employee at the Haskell restaurant declined to comment.
