The Panda Dry Cleaning Company, working in conjunction with Procter & Gamble, has opened its first Tide Dry Cleaners store in Arizona.
It is the second store to open under Panda with the Tide brand since Panda and P&G announced a partnership that hopes to see 200 standardized drycleaning plants operating in the U.S. within the next five years. The more immediate goal, however, is to open five Tide Dry Cleaning franchises by the end of this year.
The initial store under the partnership was launched late last year in Henderson, NV, a suburb of Las Vegas.
The new plant, located in the Village of Ahwatukee, hosted a grand opening ceremony on Feb. 21 with the local media and officials, including City of Phoenix Councilman Sal DiCiccio.
“We are very excited to welcome Tide Dry Cleaners to our area,†DiCiccio said. “Not only will this bring much-needed jobs and economic growth to our region, but with the backing and support of both Procter & Gamble and the Panda team, we are also looking forward to working closely with the store to become an integral partner and contributor within our growing community.â€
