That quote from Spiderman has probably been thrown around far too much, and often as a punchline. But I could not be more serious about this. As an entrepreneur, you have the most to gain from your business, and therefore you have the most responsibility to make a contribution.
It gets overwhelming pretty quickly if you’re striving to be perfect in every aspect of your business, but if you make it a regular practice to look at how your business is doing on multiple bottom lines–people, planet and profit–you’ll get a good sense of where you can be doing better, and depending on what your own values are you can decide where your priorities are.
