Iron Tribe Fitness, a small Birmingham-based chain of gyms, is about to get pumped up.
The 2-year-old company is just a week or two away from signing its first franchise deals, vice president for operations and partner Jim Cavale said Wednesday.
If all goes as expected, two franchised locations will be opened in greater Nashville before the end of the year, Cavale said. One franchisee is planning a gym in north Nashville and a different franchisee has plans south of the city. Cavale didn’t identify the franchisees because the deals aren’t finalized, but he said the majority of those who have been in discussions about franchises are satisfied members of the company’s Birmingham-area gyms.
Discussions also are under way regarding franchises in Atlanta and Charlotte.
“We’re very close to signing deals,” Cavale said.
