It’s a long way from studying mathematics and physics at university to worrying about chicken schnitzels and chip seasoning. And even further from leaving a successful technology company you co-founded to leading your family’s fledgling fast-food business.
Andrew Dyduk would not have it any other way. The 33-year-old is chief executive of Schnitz Australia Holdings, a fast-growing franchise chain that started in 2009 and has seven Schnitz stores in Melbourne, two in development, and 10 stores awaiting sites.
