Honey Dew Slowly Rolling Out New-Look Stores

Enterprise News:

About every decade, Honey Dew Associates makes its franchisees update the look of its stores. Jamie Cobb just happened to be on the hook for two makeovers in rapid succession.

The Honey Dew franchisee’s West Bridgewater location was the first to undergo the latest redesign, opening in its new incarnation around Christmas. But that project wasn’t the end for Cobb: He’s already looking at architectural drawings for the upcoming transformation of his Canton shop.

The Plainville-based coffee and doughnut chain times its periodic redesigns around its franchise agreements, which CEO and founder Dick Bowen said typically last around 10 years. In order to renew their contracts for another term, franchisees agree to update the look of the store to the most recent design, Cobb said.
