Love Of Food Rings Up Profits For Binalot Franchisee

Business Mirror:

Their love for Filipino dishes has given couple Vicente Martin and Peggy Castañeda-de Villa a more-than-generous dose of inspiration for a business they wanted to get into—food, specifically one that served the local dishes they so enjoyed.

With the realization that they were tyros in the food-service business, the de Villas thought that franchising would be their best route. They didn’t have a hard time deciding which one to go as Vicente Martin already had a favorite. “Since he’s a regular habitué of Binalot, he was already determined to get a Binalot franchise from them,” said Peggy.

Peggy says they made their first plan to put up a Binalot store since 2007 when her husband developed a liking for Binalot products—especially the sweet and spicy tapa which Vincent Martin religiously orders for his lunch.

When they saw a vacant space at the IBM Plaza in Eastwood City, they immediately worked to take it over. It was a good start for the de Villa family as customers warmly responded to the opening of that store.

Inspired by the impressive showing of their first business venture into the food business, Vicente Martin and Peggy thought of opening another Binalot store. As usual, the Binalot management provided them the all-out support for their expansion plan. More.
