Liz Olivier is the newest recruit at Jim’s Fencing, and the fact that she’s a woman isn’t stopping her from getting her hands dirty at the fencing franchise.
A mother of three, Olivier moved to Australia from South Africa in 1999 and previously worked with her husband labouring on commercial farms in the outback and working beside Austrade to open new market markets around the world, before setting up her own meat exporting business in 2008.
In 2011 she decided to look for an opportunity closer to home and contacted Jim’s Fencing, looking for a role as regional franchisor, with Warren Smith, division manager, a little taken aback by her approach. Jim’s Fencing has a number of husband and wife franchise “teams” but Olivier is the system’s first solo female franchisee.
