Ice Cream For Dogs

Mirror.co.uk:

As the weather becomes balmier, hot dogs will be able to cool down with their very own ice cream-style treat for mutts.

Garden centre chain Dobbies has launched Billy & Margot’s range of frozen goodies.

Created by animal nutritionist Marie Sawle, the doggie version of Ben and Jerry’s comes in strawberry and apple and apple, banana and carrot.

Made from fruit and vegetable puree, flax oil and Aloe Vera, the treat is dairy free.

In a first for the ice cream industry, Billy & Margot sorbets go on sale next month for £2.99 a 160g tub.

Marie of Hambledon, Hampshire, came up with the recipe in memory of her black Labrador Billy who used to chase ice cream vans down the road every summer in the hope he would be handed a cornet to lick.

Named after Billy and his canine pal Margot, the pooch friendly treat is poised to be a best seller.
