Customers Set Price Of Yard Care

Many Lubbock teenagers make extra money in the summer by doing yard care, but not many of them let the customers have a say in what the fee will be.

Taylor started XYZ four years ago — the letters stand for Excellent service for your Yard by Zach — with the motto “We want you to pay us on what our work is worth,” he said.

He said he stops short of letting the customer determine the price. He has a price in mind for each job, and the customer gives a price for what he or she wants to pay.

They negotiate about any difference between the two prices, he said.
