The Business of Aerial Photography

Aerial photography sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day. I’m envious of the pilot in this story:

Sitting in the corner of Lodi Airport Cafe, pilot Ken Cantrell sips a coffee and glances over his shoulder as flights come and go from the commuter airport. With his jade-green eyes peering from underneath his San Francisco Giants hat, Cantrell watches the other pilots to ensure that none get too close and kick small rocks or debris onto his homemade RV-6.

Not only is the acrobatic plane reliable and eye-catching, it’s also the centerpiece of his new business: ViewPoint Aerial Photography. The business combines Cantrell’s passion for flying and photography, and provides aerial photographs of commercial developments, area farms and famous landmarks to customers.
