Knoxville News Sentinel:
Chasity Shelby and her husband, Carden, were looking to start a home-based business. A former accountant at the University of Tennessee School of Veterinary Medicine, she wanted to be able to work for herself.
In September, after about a year of planning and research, the Shelby family launched Mobile Market Knoxville, a grocery delivery company based in Karns. The company services customers within a 20-mile radius of the 37930 ZIP code.
“We’ll deliver all the way down to Lenoir City,” she said.
For a $10 delivery charge customers can place orders on the mobilemarketdelivers.com website. A range of grocery products are available priced competitively with local supermarkets.
Online shoppers can select the items they want and schedule a delivery time before checking out using a credit or debit card. Shelby reviews prices every quarter to make sure they still are in line with those in local grocery stores.
