Madcap chefs have created the world’s first alcoholic Sandwich.

Deli staff at New York’s Salumè panini shop are offering to douse lunchtime sarnies with a variety of spirits.

Their sandwich menu includes prosciutto with gin, Surryano ham with rye whiskey, and prosciutto and beetroot with scotch.

The bread-based snacks at the Manhattan café remain fully alcoholic with no booze burned off.
