According to the founders of Upstanding Designs, Bill Rosenthal and Ken Kumph, standing is good and sitting is bad. After my time with the Stand Steady, I’m inclined to agree.
Kumph told the Georgetown Record that the two men spoke with designers, inventors, architects, and ergonomics specialists in preparation for starting their new business, which formally launched in June at the New England Health and Fitness Expo in Boston. “We found that the [stand up] products out there looked cheap,” Kumph said. “We wanted to make something top quality, functional and well designed so it would fit into a professional setting whether in a corporate or a home office”.
