Krish Patel was born with entrepreneurial genes in his blood. As young adults, his parents immigrated from India and two years later opened their first business — a video store in Houston. It would be the first of several businesses they started.
Patel wanted to follow in their footsteps. By the time he was a junior in college, he was already plotting how to open his first Verizon Wireless authorized retail store.
After graduation, he put his house up for collateral and got a $65,000 loan to start his own company, Wireless Communications, and opened his first Verizon store in South Carolina.
Today, Patel’s company controls nearly 50 stores in South Carolina, Georgia and Texas and has a solid plan for continued growth and financial stability.
