There are many benefits to traveling business class. However, if you normally take economy flights, you are probably not aware of all the amenities a business class flight offers. If you want to get the most out of your journey there are a few simple things you can do.

Take an Extra Suitcase

If you are used to traveling with nothing more than a carry-on bag, now is your chance to bring as much clothing as you want. Many economy airlines will charge you extra to check a bag through. However, depending on the airline, you should be able to check one or two bags when you travel business class.

You never know exactly what kind of clothes you’re going to need on a business trip. Of course you know you will need business attire. However, you might be invited to a formal dinner. Perhaps that all-important client will invite you to play tennis or golf. Whatever happens, you want to make sure you have the proper attire for any situation that may come up. But if you can bring a decent-sized suitcase, you will be able to pack anything you need.

Enjoy the Business Class Lounge

Some airlines have business class lounges in certain airports. Business and first-class lounges offer comfortable seating and flat-screen televisions to watch while you wait for your flight.

But if you don’t feel like watching TV, you can enjoy the free internet these lounges provide. Or you can simply watch airplanes take off as you nibble on the free snacks and sip the free drinks these lounges offer. If you need to freshen up, some of the better ones offer showers.

Have a Drink and Don’t Skip Dessert

One of the worst things about flying coach is the food and drink service. For example, you will pay a lot of money for a tiny snack that would normally cost you only a few dollars at a grocery store. You will generally get a complimentary soft drink, but if you want a cocktail you will have to pay upscale prices for the kind of liquor that you would normally find in the well at a bar.

When you fly business class, you will get to order a freshly prepared meal. Some airlines even offer a complimentary cocktail or champagne. Plus, you will also get a gourmet dessert. You might be surprised by the culinary skills of some airline chefs.

Although it is becoming rare, there are some business class tickets that include a car to the airport. Therefore, be sure to read your ticket carefully to see if this amenity is included.
