Fresh Berry Opens Doors May 3 With Fundraiser

Rapid City Journal:

Fresh Berry frozen yogurt shop will open Thursday, May 3, in Rushmore Crossing. And opening day includes an event to raise money for a local family.

Franchisee Dannalee Nordhagen of Black Hawk, a former dental assistant who owns the business with her husband Shawn Nordhagen, said she will give out small cups of yogurt May 3 in exchange for donations to a fund for the family of Liam Kenrick, the Rapid City 2-year-old who was left blind and deaf after bacterial meningitis.

My colleague Lynn Taylor Rick had a story about Liam on April 1. His father is a Pennington County Sheriff’s Deputy and his mom is a teacher at Wilson Elementary. There is a fund set up at Wells Fargo Bank for the family.

Fresh Berry will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday next to Allure cosmetics at Rushmore Crossing.
