Mom Creates Business To Help Party Planners

Games and Celebrations.com Inc. is the business Dawn Grelyak started, owns and operates. The mother of four knew she had to work from home when in 2001 she was pink slipped, pregnant with twins and outside child care wasn’t an option.
Grelyak’s discovery of having a talent for putting together games for bridal showers and baby showers led to her online business. She went to the library to track down “how to” information. She asked a lot of questions and was very happy to learn that people were willing to help her get started.“I opened with 10 games and kept on adding,” said the creative mom.
Today, her businesses offer 400 products. She recently merged her other online business, FavorsMarketplace.com, into one company.
The clever coordinator offers assistance to those who need help planning bridal showers, baby showers, or other special events. She also offers 300 favor items that cover showers, baptisms, sweet 16 parties, birthdays, anniversaries and girls night out parties.
When she started going to one bridal shower after another and then a few years later, attending many baby showers, Grelyak hit upon the idea for her business. When she offered to help with the family and friends parties, it seemed that the game planning always “fell into her lap” to do. Then party guests soon started to ask for her assistance in planning their special occasion games.
