De-Stressing For Work At Home Mom's
Working from home is a challenge all on its own, but when you add children to the mix it becomes a juggling act. Unfortunately, when you juggle too many things at once it all starts to fall apart.

Rather than let stress devour you, and potentially harm your business, there are a few things you can do to ensure the best work and life balance.
- Take a moment to breathe. It’s not good for you, or your mind, if you keep yourself on overdrive. Step away from what you’re doing and go spend at least a half hour doing something else.
What you do isn’t nearly as important as why you’re doing it. So it could be the perfect moment to read a chapter in your favorite book, or watch a new movie. Either way, just make sure you give yourself a break.
- Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. It’s recommended for your health anyway, but it can also help you regain some energy and concentration you never realized had come up missing.
Take a walk around your neighborhood, maybe a little jog. Consider a few light arm weights to help keep your arms toned. I’ve heard that sitting on an exercise ball can be good for your midsection. Just do something that will get your heart rate up and create a little more blood circulation. When you sit down to go back to work, you will feel much better.
- Spend some quality time with your children. If they seem to be frustrating you, they’re probably frustrated too. Stop working for a bit and go do something with your kids. Sometimes you don’t realize that you’ve ignored them as long as you have, until it’s too late.
If you have children home full time, then you might need regular breaks from your work so your children won’t feel ignored. The happier they are, the easier it will be for you to get some work done later.
Whether or not you follow this advice, just remember to de-stress when possible. If you don’t feel stressed, you are bound to enjoy your work and life that much more.

It can be very stressful, a lot of people do not realise they think you sit around all day drinking tea and watching daytime TV. The reality is that you never really switch off.

I so agree with your post. I have a 3 year old and I will start marketing online when he is occupied. But then the next thing you know time has passed, he is begging me for a snack, I messed up something on the site I was working on and asking for another 5 minutes. He is begging me to get off and acting up. I will then get off the computer and take a break, get my son something to eat and play with him a while till he is occupied again. It works best when you keep you kids happy and not screaming and being a stress on you.
