Biz Q&A

Entrepreneur:

Q: Where would I begin to start bottling/marketing/selling an amazing salsa?

A: You can start yourself and test the market.

If you can prove you can get sales, the big companies will be interested in your product. You can always go to the “big boys,” but you also have the option of maintaining control and distributing your own private label through local retailers or specialty shops.

Ultimately, it’s up to you, but going the first route needs to show some success before those large manufacturers will take a look at your product.

  • In my experience in going into business for yourself and success stories from others…it’s been proven time and time again that if your product is “all that and a bag of chips” and has an awesome potential for making money, then start off in the small markets say around your town, then begin to branch off into other market’s outside of your area and soon enough through word of mouth the big markets will come to YOU knocking on your door wanting your product, and then it’s up to you on wether or not you let them swoop in and take it over for the most part or not.

  • in my own idea, starting in a business is not easy, coz you need to have an idea of what kind of business you want to start with, make your product a big sales to the market, and profitable too, if you have all this in your self then start for a good business.
