Chicago Toy & Game Fair 2009 Young Inventor Challenge

Examiner.com:

Creative young inventors are invited to build and submit a prototype and marketing poster display for an original game or toy to be judged in the Young Inventor Challenge at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair at Navy Pier on November 21, 2009.

Chicago children can turn in entries as individuals or as a group team effort. Winners will be chosen by popular vote by fair attendees and win fun prizes including a chance to lunch with a top Hasbro toy executive.

A two-day toy and game fair attended by exhibitors from toy companies and families and other groups interested in exploring the hottest new toys and games firsthand, the Chicago Toy and Game Fair (CHITAG) will be held this year on Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Navy Pier. It is America’s largest toy and game event and not to be missed by any true game and toy fan.

This inventor’s contest for kids is open to children under age 18. Kids must submit a reservation and a parental consent form by October 31, 2009 and then bring their finished invention prototype and poster display to Navy Pier on the morning of November 21, 2009 between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

  • Thank you, Rich.

The kids will learn a lot from interacting with executives from toy and game companies, media as well as the public at the Fair while demonstrating their inventions.

The winner and their family will have dinner with the Head of Global Product Acquisition and Inventor Relations from Hasbro as well as a VIP Tour at the Strong National Museum of Play. And, we are working on another really big prize.

This is a terrific opportunity for kids and the Fair is a lot of fun for them, too.

  • Looks interesting, there are lots of creative young kids out there with a great and vivid imagination, The Inventor’s guide alone is very resourceful and should be can more as an educational approach, especially for the older guys.

  • Thank you!

Speaking of older guys, as in adults, there is a Toy and Game Inventor Conference the 2 days before the Fair with toy and game execs from all around the world if anyone is interesting in inventing or starting their own toy/game company. http://www.tagie.net.
