U.S. Marines And Dunkin’ Donuts Deliver 30,000 Gifts To Children At 12 Stops Across New York

WBGH:

The Toys for Tots Holiday Train, stocked with as many as 30,000 gifts purchased with $20,000 from Dunkin’ Donuts, will take to the rails this weekend for its annual two day-run to deliver holiday cheer to hundreds of children and families across New York State.

The Holiday Toy Train, donated by Canadian Pacific Railway and stuffed with gifts from Dunkin’ Donuts, will begin its 2009 run on Saturday, December 5 in Binghamton, NY, with stops in Bainbridge, Oneonta, Cobleskill and Delanson. On Sunday, December 6, the train will make its way from Albany to Plattsburgh with regional stops in Mechanicville, Saratoga, Whitehall, Port Henry and Port Kent.

Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees will join the U.S. Marines on the train’s two-day run as they traverse the state and deliver toys directly to children and families in need.

The event is the culmination of Dunkin’ Donuts recent contribution to the Toys for Tots Foundation to stock the train with toys and gifts for the annual trip.
