A fifteen acre dinosaur theme park in Irish Hills, Michigan is for sale. Formerly known as Prehistoric Forest, the park originally opened in 1963. According to AgilityNut, “Prehistoric Forest had a safari train that took visitors around the 8-acre property, past a rumbling and smoking volcano and a 35′ waterfall. There were dinosaur bones, serpents, pterodactyls, a dinosaur egg nest, a caveman, strange giant daisies and fake cactus, and 15 life-size dinosaurs.”

That’s not too far from me. Chicago aka US 12 goes through town. I had to ask my mom about it because I’d never heard of it before. If a semi-local didn’t know about it, I can only imagine they just didn’t get the word out enough about its existence. I hope whoever buys it can fix it up a bit and put a little money into advertising. It sounds like it would be an interesting place to visit.
