Dymocks Wants In At Macarthur Square

Campbelltown Macarthur Advertiser:

Dymocks is planning to replace Borders and Angus & Robertson bookshops at Macarthur Square.

Franchising manager for Dymocks Morris Short told the Advertiser this week that they were now searching for a local franchisee for the shopping centre.

“We’re aware of the situation there and we’re certainly doing everything in our power to find a franchise owner to move in to the centre and run a Dymocks,” he said. “We would love to be there.

“We’ve been advertising the position and we’re working through a process.”

Mr Short said although other book chains had collapsed recently, Dymocks had a different business approach with most of its stores franchised by locals.
