Watermill Express Plans Albuquerque Expansion

Upstart:

Watermill Express has a thirst for the Duke City. The Brighton, Colo. water machine company is seeking an Albuquerque franchisee to expand the company’s footprint here.

“We have 17 locations in New Mexico, but we think Albuquerque alone has the potential for 15 to 20 locations,”said Lani Dolifa, co-CEO of Watermill. “We have two company-owned locations already in Albuquerque but we would love to find a franchisee to build it out.”

The franchise fee per location ranges from $53,000 to $140,000. Watermill is in a battle in the Southwest with Glacier Waters Services Inc. to deliver affordable, healthy drinking water to consumers who walk up to their dispensing units to refill gallon jugs with clean water. Watermill’s water typically costs 20 cents per gallon and is less costly than bottled water purchased at supermarkets.
