Red Mango Names Development Veteran James Franks Vice President Of Franchising

Business Wire:

Red Mango, one of the most popular and fastest-growing retailers of authentic nonfat frozen yogurt has named franchise expansion veteran James Franks as vice president of franchising. Franks will be responsible for overseeing an aggressive expansion campaign designed to spread the Red Mango brand nationally. The network rose from eight stores to more than 40 locations across the U.S. in 2008 and Franks plans to double the size of the system this year by attracting the right franchisees to support the company’s vision.

“James has a lot of talent, and we are thrilled to have him on our team. His extensive experience in growing franchised brands in the right way will help Red Mango maintain and expand its market leadership,” stated Dan Kim, founder, president and CEO of Red Mango.

Franks previously served as director of franchising for Baskin-Robbins, where he implemented a Small Business/Small Network business model that resulted in more than 350 new franchise agreements and 200 transfers of existing units across the country in three years. Prior to his tenure at Baskin-Robbins, he held development positions for brands in hair care, food and beverage, and automotive industries. Franks began his career at The Dwyer Group, one of the largest service franchise holding companies in the U.S., and has since represented proven franchise concepts domestically and internationally.
