Salad Creations Sprouts A New Leaf In S.A.

As the weather continues to sizzle outside, residents are thinking cool in every way possible — including food.

With lettuce as a main component, salads qualify as a cool summer meal, and that’s the specialty of the first Salad Creations restaurant in town.

Located at 5539 West Loop 1604 North (at Culebra Road) in the Alamo Ranch Marketplace, Salad Creations is geared towards a change to a healthy lifestyle, said owner and San Antonio franchisee Vince Handler.

“We are excited to bring a new solution to the customer who is tired of typical fast food and wants lots of choice in fresh food,” Handler said.

The new Salad Creations opened June 26 and Deanna Villarreal and Jo Garcia were among the first customers. They both work at nearby Northwest Vista College.

“I wanted something cool to eat at lunch time on a hot day like this,” Villarreal said between bites of her Full Creation tossed salad.
