Fayetteville, meet the Kickin’ Chicken.
A company based in Charleston, S.C., has picked Fayetteville for the first franchised location of the chain of chicken restaurants. The prototype will open in May on North McPherson Church Road, and the company hopes to expand in the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee.
Two classmates from the University of South Carolina opened the original Kickin’ Chicken in 1997, and they later added a third partner. The company now has five locations in the Charleston area.
