Great Play‘s innovative approach is energizing entrepreneurs across the United States.
The children’s gym founded in 2006 by Keith and Jyl Camhi of Stamford has opened franchises in Scarsdale, N.Y., and Redmond, Wash., in the past couple years, and is launching a third location in Scarsdale, Ariz.
Their original goal was to open a dozen corporate sites in Fairfield County and then start franchising the business, but that plan got reversed after the Redmond location opened, Keith Camhi said.
“Once that happened, people started contacting us through Google,” he said, adding that a woman from Atlanta is starting a fourth location. “She’s looking to open around back-to-school time.”
