Menchie’s, one of the nation’s fastest-growing retailers of self-serve frozen yogurt, today announced that it has signed a development agreement with Yogurtworld Corporation to become the company’s first international Master Franchisor. As a result of this agreement, Menchie’s plans to open its first two Canadian locations in Toronto within the next several months, and anticipates reaching 100 locations throughout Canada within the next four years.
“We are delighted to announce our relationship with Menchie’s, as well as the expansion of the franchise into Canada,” stated Michael Shneer, President of Yogurtworld Corporation. “This is a revolutionary concept as there is nothing like Menchie’s in the Canadian marketplace. The first Menchie’s store in Canada will open at Rutherford Marketplace at 9360 Bathurst Street, Suite 4B in Vaughan, Ont., L6A 4N9, and it is expected to open by September 2010.
