E = Bagels Squared! Einstein Bros. Plans To Expand In Atlanta

Atlanta Journal Constitution:

Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, the parent company of Einstein Bros. Bagels, plans to add between three and five new restaurants in the Atlanta market by the end of 2012, an executive told the AJC.

“We’re very proud of that market,” said James O’Reilly, chief concept officer for the Lakewood, Colo.-based company. “Atlanta is a priority market for us.”

The company opened two stores late last year in Duluth and Johns Creek, and now has about 20 stores in the Atlanta market. It has approximately 600 restaurants, including Noah’s New York Bagels and Manhattan Bagel, in 36 states and D.C.

The company’s revenues dipped slightly in the second quarter. It is emphasizing franchising for new restaurant growth, although most of its restaurants are owned directly by the company.
